GEORGE TOWN, CAYMAN ISLANDS — Nearly 300 Caymanians attended a hospitality job fair held by the Dart organization on Saturday, coinciding with Delta airline’s return to the country for the first time in two years as signs of tourism’s recovery continue to grow.

While it was unclear how many, if any, were hired on the spot on Saturday, the event was lauded for the career opportunities afforded to unemployed residents.

Ahead of the job fair, Minister for Tourism and Transport Kenneth Bryan encouraged Caymanians to take advantage of the many positions available.

“I’m informed by the Dart group that there will be a wide range of jobs on offer, covering a broad cross-section of the tourism industry, including finance, food and beverage, guest services, recreation, spa services, IT and much more.

“I want to strongly encourage all Caymanians who are seeking work and currently unemployed to come and attend.

“Please take the time to go along and find out what the opportunities are. Speak to the representatives of the hotel industry and, most importantly, put your applications in.”
