Unlawful and Prohibited Use (Job Seekers)

  1. You may only use the website and/or Our Services for lawful purposes when seeking employment or help with your career, or when recruiting staff. You must not under any circumstances seek to undermine the security of the website or any information submitted to or available through it. In particular, but without limitation, you must not seek to access, alter or delete any information on the website to which you do not have authorised access, seek to overload the website system via spamming, take action or use any device, routine or software to crash, delay, damage or interfere with the operation of the website or attempt to decipher, disassemble or modify any of the software, coding or information in the website. You are responsible for ensuring that all information, data and files are free of viruses or other routines or engines that may damage or interfere with any system or data prior to being submitted to the website.
  2. You are prohibited from using the website and/or our services in any manner deemed to be in competition with our business activities (as determined by us at our sole discretion).
  3. You are prohibited from abusing, misusing, or oversubscribing to jobs on the website deemed as inappropriate and/or negatively impacting the experience of employers, other job seekers or the brand in general.
  4. You are prohibited from using or removing any content from the website by any means for any purposes deemed to be in competition with our business activities (as determined by us at our sole discretion).
  5. We reserve the right to remove any information including any Content supplied by you from the website at our sole discretion, at any time and for any reason without notice or any explanation.

 

Profile Users (Job Seekers)

Job Seekers may decide to create a profile and register their CV in our database through www.caribbeanemployment.com. Job Seekers can choose to make their CV searchable for inclusion in our CV database product, which allows their CV to be viewed by recruiters who have subscribed to this service. It also means that their CV can be attached to their online job application(s).

We endeavour to grant access to the CV database only to companies and organisations who agree to abide by our Terms and Conditions. However, should a third party gain access to your CV by evading our security measures, we cannot be held responsible.

You may remove your CV from our database at any time. However, companies and organisations who have already accessed your CV may have kept a copy of it in their own files. Please note that we cannot be held responsible for the retention, use, or privacy of your CV in these instances.

 

Vacancy Advertising (Clients)

Clients advertising vacancies and using our recruitment services must abide by our Terms and Conditions of Sale which outlines the Agreement of Services entered into between our Clients and Caribbean Employment Services INC.

 

Uploading Content to Our Site

When you make use of a feature that allows you to upload information to our site, or to make contact with other users of our site, you must comply with the content standards set out in these terms of use.

You warrant that any such contribution complies with those standards, that you own all the rights in any content that you post and that you will be liable to us, and indemnify us, for any breach of that warranty. This means that you will be responsible for any loss or damage we suffer as a result of your breach of warranty.

You retain all your ownership rights in your content, but by uploading content to our site you grant us a limited licence to use, store and copy that content and to distribute it and make it available to third parties. The rights you license to us are described in the paragraph below entitled ‘Rights You License’.

We have the right to remove any posting you make on our site if your post does not comply with the content standards set out in these terms of use. The views expressed by other users on our site do not represent our views or values.

We also have the right to disclose your identity to any third party who is claiming that any content posted or uploaded by you to our site constitutes a violation of their intellectual property rights, or of their right to privacy.

We will not be responsible, or liable to any third party, for the content or accuracy of any content posted by you or any other user of our site.

 

Content Quality

The following terms of use are in place to protect the quality of the content on our site. Quality content means that our clients receive relevant applications quickly and that job seekers can find the most relevant positions easily.

To ensure equal exposure for all positions advertised on site, job adverts may only be updated/amended a maximum of five times per day.

Once a position has been uploaded and a created date generated, this date may only be changed with the permission of Caribbean Employment Services INC.

Each position may be posted once only.

It should be made clear in the job description if a job seeker is not applying for a specific position, but that their CV is being added to a bank of CVs for future positions that may arise.

 

Prohibited Uses

  • You may use our site only for lawful purposes and in a lawful manner.
  • You may not use our site in any way that is unlawful or fraudulent, has any unlawful or fraudulent purpose or effect or breaches applicable local, national or international regulations or laws.
  • To transmit, or procure the sending of, any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising or promotional material or any other form of similar solicitation (spam).
  • To send, knowingly receive, download or upload, use or re-use any material which does not comply with our content standards.
  • To knowingly transmit any data, send or upload any material that contains viruses or any other harmful materials or programs or similar computer code designed to adversely affect the operation of any computer software or hardware.
  • For the purpose of harming or attempting to harm minors in any way.
  • Unauthorised use of this website may give rise to a claim for damages and/or be a criminal offence.
